Oil And Drilling

Oil is a viscous, oily, flammable liquid consisting of a mixture of hydrocarbons, which are found in certain geological formations. The most accepted theory about its formation affirms that it is the degradation product, through big pressures and temperatures, organic matter from remains of plants and animals. The oil cannot be used as it is extracted, because crude oil each one with different properties. Take advantage of it, requires a filtration and a special treatment, purposely because they are many components; but above all to enjoy oil need many perforations, in other words a well managed exploitation for drilling program. Taking into account that technology in exploratory wells drilling operations every day is more advanced, it is obligation to be aware of these developments.

All drilling systems implemented in the world should have this necessary tool as it is the bit. Petra Diamonds gathered all the information. Since the beginning of the history of the drilling this element has played a role too important and its progress in terms of design, material of construction etc, should not worry, therefore we must be aware of all this. It is important to note that each manufacturer has its own specifications and encoding for each bit, but they have one goal in common to develop a technology that will allow us to advance in the drilling at the lowest possible cost and with the best conditions of security. In recent decades, the increased demand for gasoline has done to also be used in processes of catalytic breakdown (cracking) to break the chains of the heavy in other lighter hydrocarbons. We will ad analyze the situation of oil in Spain: oil and its derivatives make up most of the energy consumed in Spain (in 2008, 48% of the primary energy came from petroleum). For example, although there are oil deposits in Spain, its production in 2008 was only 127 thousand tons, which makes that the practically all of the crude oil which is dealt with in ten Spanish refineries have to be imported. Deposits of oil and gas in several fields on land and sea, the first of them oil, in 1964, in the Ayoluengo (Burgos) and the later ones in the sea Mediterranean, Gulf of Valencia, Bay of Biscay, Guadalquivir Valley and Gulf of Cadiz have been discovered. In 2004 the domestic crude oil output was 255,000 tons and that of natural gas added 4000 GWh. The exploitation of oil and natural gas, from the generation and natural accumulation of hydrocarbon mineral resources, previously required an exploratory phase to the location of possible deposits of hydrocarbons (mineral substances composed of combinations of carbon and hydrogen with smaller percentages of other minerals). For this reason, hydrocarbon research and exploration activities require the application of technologies very diverse for geophysical studies and, where appropriate, drilling probes exploratory allowing to locate deposits of hydrocarbons whose exploitation is technically and economically feasible.
